As Bukett failed to get in foal in 2008, she was covered quite early in 2009, so will give birth to a foal by Silvano on mid-february. She is already sporting a massive belly - photos to follow soon.
Belle Fee wasn´t covered in 2009, so no foal this year, but will head back for a mating this season. We are pondering options for her as well, and she might well go back to Toylsome, as Betty is such a smashing foal.
Bukett gave birth to a little chestnut colt tonight, whom we call Bernie for time being. He is not very tall, but stocky, and was very quick on his feet, and at the bar. Mother and son are fit & well, very well in the case of Bukett, who looked massiv beforehand and must now be wondering what it was all about with this little fellow at her feet. Unfortunatly the weather continues to play harvoc up here, so both are restricted to the box for time being.

Bukett headed to Etzean Stud to be covered by Dashing Blade, and while the stud has an excellent record with the most difficult of mares, she failed to get in foal (again) this season. Bukett came back to pastures home in the beginning of june, and in all honesty she is in less than perfect condition at the moment. Age seems to catch up with her and the long and hard winter and her strong foal seem to take their toll at the moment, maybe there was just no strength left.
Here are two new photos:
